What is the Latin America Donor Index?
The Latin America Donor Index is the one and only place to find information on giving to the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC)region by U.S., European and LAC donors in one database. Donors include: private donors such as foundations, international non-governmental organizations, official development agencies, Latin American non-profits with grantmaking programs, and corporations with social investment programs.
The Latin America Donor Index helps both non-profits identify donor organizations working on similar issues in their geographical areas, but it also serves donor organizations in the identification of potential allies by learning about other donor organizations interested in similar issues.
Who built the Latin America Donor Index?
The Latin America Donor Index is the result of a fruitful collaboration between AVINA and the Office of Outreach and Partnerships of the Inter-American Development Bank. Together these two institutions have pooled resources to build the Latin America Donor Index so non-profits and donors alike can identify potential allies. For more information about these institutions, please visit our About Us page.
What if I do not find a particular donor I am looking for here?
Tell us about it! If you do not find information on a particular donor, please write to us to suggest we include them in the Index.
Why is the giving of my foundation/organization not included in the Index?
The Knowledge Management team at AVINA continues to gather information on giving to LAC civil society from the U.S., Europe, and the region. At the same time, we invite the donor community to contribute their information.
